The highly-anticipated start to summer is quickly approaching, and as “Old Blue Eyes” reminds us, “the summer wind comes blowin’ in from across the sea”! And with the start to summer comes the start of summer exercise~from running to jogging to speedwalking to swimming to summer sports’ leagues to everything in-between! As many of us ramp up our exercise in the warm weather, we need to make certain that we are meeting the nutritional demands of our new, active schedule.

And who better than “THE RUNNING NUTRITIONIST” Lisa Dorfman~sports’ dietician to numerous professional athletes and Ironman thiathlete Lisa Dorfman who is also the author of the hugely-popular books “The Anti-Stress Diet”, “The Vegetarian Sports Nutrition Guide”, “The Tropical Diet”, and “Eating Disorders Throughout the Lifecycle: A Guide for Health Professionals”~to reveal everything that we need to know to match our nutritional demands to our summertime exercise goals.

Lisa Dorfman~whose expertise has been featured on “20/20”, “Dateline”, “CNN”, “MSNBC”, “FOX News Channel”, and “ESPN” and in such prestigious publications as “O”, “Newsweek”, “USA Today”, “Wall Street Journal”, “New York Times”, “Ladies’ Home Journal”, “Redbook”, “Marie Claire”, “Glamour”, “Shape”, “Vegetarian Times”, “Men’s Fitness”, “Men’s Health”, “Muscle and Fitness”, “Runners World”, “Bicycling”, “Scuba”, “Splash”, “Smash”, and “Body and Soul”~will chat with your viewers about the many health benefits of exercise and awakening our “inner athlete,” the importance of avoiding nutritional deficiencies that impair our ability to exercise and affect our overall well-being, and the following crucial subjects:

* the increased need for adequate carbohydrates, proteins, and essential micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), what makes each of them so important to us (especially those of us who engage in strenuous exercise or are cutting calories to lose weight), and why exercise can lead to deficiencies in any or all of these if our diet does not match our workout

* why nutritional deficiencies are bad for our overall health, our immune system, our cardiovascular system, and our muscles~regardless of our exercise level

* where we can find all of these important vitamins and minerals in our diet (which foods are rich in certain vitamins and which foods are rich in certain minerals)

* whether more is better when it comes to the intake of necessary vitamins and minerals

* nutritional supplements that can aid in overcoming nutritional deficiencies

* whether there is anything that we should be eating and/or drinking while working out and, if so, what that is additional biographical information on Lisa Dorfman:
